Shelter: BC SPCA - Kelowna Branch
Animal ID: 510943
Birthdate: May 26, 2017 - Adult
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Male
Likes: Lumbering walks, romping in the backyard at warp speed, belly rubs, and leaning against you.....yes - he's a 'leaner'.
Dislikes: Being lonely without a family to love.
About Me: Charlie and his Brother, Archie, were "ruff'in" it in the streets of a rural community and were picked up by Dog Control. They came to the Kelowna BC SPCA to find a new home where they can be loved and in return give their new family years of loyalty and companionship. Charlie is the more calm of the two, but he enjoys playtime with his brother - it's a joy to watch. We know nothing of his background, so you and Charlie would be entering life's adventure together and learning new things about each other every day. Please do your research on the Leonberger breed before you decide to make that final adoption commitment. If given the chance, we are confident Charlie will enrich your life. If you are looking to add a large (very large) canine friend to your family fold, we do believe Archie would be just that one. He will surely bring joy into your life.
According to "Wikipedia"........ Leonbergers have a reputation for being gentle giants. They are intelligent, friendly, and playful dogs. They are affectionate and loyal family members and patient with children and other animals in the home. ... A well-trained and socialized Leonberger makes a wonderful pet
Thank you for your interest! Due to COVID-19 we ask you to please visit our website and submit an online application. Staff will contact you to set up an appointment to meet Archie!
